AHA! PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

AHA! processes personal information only as needed to provide the service and protect users’ rights. This policy explains how we handle that information.

Effective date: October 7, 2026

1. Public Site Use and Information We Process

The public AHA! site does not offer member registration or visitor sign-in. You can read posts, use tools, share articles, and leave a helpful reaction without an account.

If you email us, we use your email address and message to review and respond to your inquiry. Please do not include sensitive information, such as identity numbers or passwords, unless it is necessary for your inquiry.

Request information such as IP addresses, browser details, and access times may be processed to deliver and secure the service. Post views and helpful reactions are stored as aggregate statistics that are not linked to personal accounts.

2. Retention and Deletion

We process personal information received through inquiries as needed to review and respond to them. If you request deletion or the information is no longer needed, we will review the request and delete it without undue delay. Information that must be retained by law will be kept for the required period.

Post view and helpful reaction statistics are stored as post-level and daily totals, or as post-level totals. These aggregate statistics are not linked to personal accounts and are retained as needed to operate the service. We do not currently have a scheduled deletion period for them.

3. Service Providers and Processing Outside Korea

AHA! uses Firebase and Google Cloud services provided by Google LLC. The Firestore database is configured in the Seoul, South Korea region, and the App Hosting server runs in the United States. Information needed to handle site requests and maintain security may therefore be processed in the United States.

For more information about our service provider’s data practices, see Firebase’s privacy and security information.

4. Cookies and Post Statistics

We may use a post-specific session cookie and session storage to prevent repeated refreshes from inflating view counts. Helpful reactions use a post-specific cookie for up to 400 days, and may also record reaction status in browser storage to prevent repeated counting from the same browser. This information is not linked to a personal account. The server stores aggregate view and reaction totals by post.

You can delete or block cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so may affect duplicate-count prevention and how reaction status is displayed.

We do not currently use Google Analytics. We will update this policy if the actual processing associated with advertising or analytics services changes.

5. Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising

AHA! may use third-party advertising services such as Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to AHA! or other websites.

Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its advertising partners to serve personalized ads based on visits to AHA! and other sites on the Internet. For details, see Google's advertising privacy information.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also manage personalized advertising cookies from some third-party vendors through third-party advertising choices. Opting out of personalized advertising does not prevent non-personalized ads from being displayed.

6. Information Entered into Tools

Calculator inputs, QR code content, and images selected in the image-processing tools are processed in your browser. These tools do not upload or store your inputs or selected images on AHA! servers.

7. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them

You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. Send your request to arntimo@gmail.com. After verifying your identity, we will respond in accordance with applicable law and service requirements.

8. Information Security and Contact

AHA! limits access to personal information to what is necessary and uses security features provided by its service providers. For questions about this policy or to exercise your rights, email arntimo@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

If our data practices or applicable laws change, we will post the changes and their effective date on this page.
